That makes sense to me.  Not to worry.  Chris and I connected briefly this morning and will be dividing up the month so it will be done at least twice a month.  And I'll see if I can recruit someone who lives closer and has time.  And as Peg says each of us contributes when we show up for whatever we have time for.  That's your service.

Dear Zendo Group --  Since taking the new job and with the change in schedule, I have not been able to come for quite a while.  I am not near there anymore either so I can't get over there and still making training.  I am going to have to find another way to serve the sangha I think until I retire next year.

Not sure whether to reply to Lila's e-mail or just post here. I cleaned once last month but did not in February. I have had schedule conflicts one way or another pretty much every Saturday this past month and likely will not be able to come this next Saturday either. I still plan on helping clean at least 1 Saturday a month as my schedule allows.

I've been really remiss about cleaning but can come this Saturday to help.  Lila

I plan on going over to clean this Saturday the 8th around 12:30 or 1:00. Not sure if I'll be working weekends with my next rotation starting up in a couple of weeks but will resume cleaning at least 1 Saturday a month if possible.

I've had other obligations the past several Saturdays as well but will plan on cleaning this coming Saturday.

I haven't been going over to clean either. I can't this weekend either. And next weekend I'm going out of town. Sorry. Lila

Hey guys -- Well between the 70 hour weeks, gearing up for belt testing and other engagements, I haven't been able to come in for cleaning lately. I have a new job also and do not get off early on Friday's anymore. Was wondering if anybody is coming in anymore for cleaning the zendo? I'll be out of town this weekend also but let's stay in touch and hopefully my schedule will free up a little soon and I can start participating in this important activity again soon. C.

I'm planning on making it over to the zendo this Saturday around 12:30 or so to clean if anyone else wants to come.

Hi -- guys. Hoping to make it over the zendo today after training, about 12:30 or 1 p.m. If you any of you can also make it, that'd be great.

Appamada is not just the occasional mindful thought or attentive state of mind, it’s actually a commitment to being attentive. It’s more than just a meditative state of mind, it’s more than just being mindful. It has to do with that primary ethical or moral orientation we have in life, with which we bring into being whatever activity we’re engaged in. Whether in formal meditation, in our interactions with other people, in our social concerns, or in our political choices, it’s the energetic cherishing of what we regard as good.
